The NT1X62 handles communication between the IOC shelf and the rest of the DMS-100. It interfaces with the message switch shelf via DS-30, and talks to the rest of the cards on the IOC shelf via an internal parallel bus.[1]
The CB variant is the same as CA, but uses a custom "N03" IC to talk to the DS-30 bus.[1]
